“It is crystal clear that being a patriotic American who loves this country is now intellectually incompatible with being a Democrat.”– Kevin DuJan, founder and editor of Hillbuzz.org
PressMediaWire.com (Press Release Distribution) – Nov 01,2010 –
An open letter penned by former Hillary Clinton campaigner and life-long Democrat Kevin DuJan has been featured on Rush Limbaugh’s nationally syndicated radio show and web site.
DuJan, 33, launched the HillBuzz.org political analysis site during the 2008 campaign season to keep his Chicago-based group of Hillary Clinton campaign volunteers informed and organized, while countering the meme the media coordinated calling for Hillary Clinton to drop out of the presidential race. DuJan, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, resides in the predominantly gay “Boystown” neighborhood of Chicago.
The Open Letter was also quoted on leading conservative blogs Ace of Spades, American Thinker, Atlas Shrugs, Lucianne.com, and Redstate.com, and was published on RushLimbaugh.com.
After the Democrat National Committee’s Rules & Bylaws Committee stripped about half of Clinton’s delegates from the candidate on May 31, 2008 and awarded them to Obama—who had removed his name from the primary ballot—DuJan launched “Democrats for McCain,” and worked tirelessly to elect the Republican nominees, John McCain and Sarah Palin. HillBuzz.org, which includes commentary by DuJan and the “HillBuzz Boyz”, evolved into a source of “political snark” and anti-Obama, pro-American, pro-Palin, anti-Democrat commentary.
DuJan wrote his Open Letter in response to Rush Limbaugh’s “Reverse Operation Chaos” campaign urging “Hillary Clinton Democrats” to stay home on November 2nd, and boycott the mid-term elections.
It’s not merely sour grapes over Clinton’s defeat by Obama, says DuJan. “I don’t think even you understand just how much damage Obama has done to the Democrat Party,” writes DuJan, “to the point where formerly lifelong Democrats like myself, and everyone here at HillBuzz.org, are actively working to expose the party and literally burn it to the ground for the good of the country. None of this is being reported in the media, but a Civil War in the Democrat ranks has been raging since May 31st, 2008.”
DuJan continues, “[T]he people alienated by the Democrat Party during the primaries in 2008 — where it was clear the party and the media colluded at great lengths to push Obama while hammering Hillary Clinton into the ground — never came back to the Democrat Party….I can’t imagine ever voting for another Democrat again, as long as I live….This was solidified for me on Christmas Eve of last year, when Democrats rushed Obamacare through the Senate in the dead of night, through various secret channels, and every single Democrat voted for its passage.”
DuJan came from a Democrat family—beginning his political activism in high school and working for every presidential campaign since 1992. And as a gay man, he “reflexively pulled the ‘D’ lever,” he says. But the takeover of his now former party by “Saul Alinsky radicals,” along with the misogynistic treatment of Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin by liberal media outlets, the Democrat party and the Obama campaign, led him to become an Independent and supporter of TEA Party principles of free markets, individual freedom and personal responsibility.
Kevin DuJan now embodies the “country first, party last” spirit.
“It is crystal clear that being a patriotic American who loves this country is now intellectually incompatible with being a Democrat,” DuJan declares in his Open Letter. “If you love America and want it to prosper, the Democrat Party is at absolute odds with everything we need for a thriving, successful economy. Hillary supporters realize this. We received a heaping helping of Alinsky assaults to wake us up to this reality.”
In his on-air comments, Limbaugh noted, “A lot of us sit around and wonder, what has happened to the Democrat Party? Are they all a bunch of SEIU union thugs? Are they all a bunch of Marxists? Has the entire voting Democrat Party—the moms and pops in the Democrat Party, the small business owners of the Democrat Party—are they Marxists?…Do they want a president from their party happily presiding over an America in decline? Then the HillBuzz guys say that, no, they don’t want any part of it…”
