Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway is paying a special tribute to members of our Armed Forces this Veterans Day on Friday, November 11, 2011.  All veterans will be treated to a free buffet lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the popular third floor “Good Time Room” (identification required), and may bring a guest who will also receive a full buffet lunch for just $11. 
 
As we know, while World War I officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on June 28, 1919, the actual fighting ceased several months earlier when an armistice between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
 
It is anticipated that Veterans Day will be celebrated much more than usual on this unique date sequence of 11-11-11.  All Empire Club members will get lucky on 11-11-11 at the “Jackpot Next Door” and will receive $11 in Free Play by visiting a Promotion booth or kiosk.
